We’re proud to announce a new partnership between Dyno Rod and the Canal & River Trust, officially launched with our franchise network at our annual conference in April

The conference marked the first time the partnership was shared, bringing together our national support team, franchisees from across the UK and representatives from the Canal & River Trust to celebrate the start of the collaboration. We’re now delighted to share the partnership publicly and look ahead to the positive impact we can make together.

Who are the Canal & River Trust?

The Canal & River Trust is the charity responsible for caring for over 2,000 miles of canals and rivers across the UK. Their work protects historic waterways, supports wildlife, improves water quality and ensures these spaces can be safely enjoyed by communities now and in the future.

From maintaining canals and locks to protecting natural habitats and promoting responsible water use, the Trust’s hands on approach closely reflects the practical, community focused ethos at the heart of Dyno Rod.

Why Dyno Rod and the Canal & River Trust?

As plumbing and drainage specialists, water is at the heart of everything we do. Whether that’s helping customers keep things flowing at home or responding when something goes wrong, we see first hand how important well maintained water systems are. Partnering with the Canal & River Trust feels like a perfect fit.

Protecting the wider water environment is a natural extension of that work. Partnering with the Canal & River Trust allows us to support the health of waterways while using our expertise, scale and people to help make a difference.

“When we began our search for a charity partner, we were looking for an organisation that is serious about environmental protection, aligns with what we do as a company, and shares our values. We believe that, in the Canal & River Trust, we have found an organisation that meets all of these criteria while bringing joy to the millions of people who use and enjoy these spaces every year.” – Noel Callaghan, Dyno-Rod Business Support Manager

Local businesses, local impact

Dyno Rod’s franchisees are locally owned businesses that are deeply rooted in the communities they serve. This partnership creates exciting opportunities for franchisees to work alongside the Canal & River Trust in their local areas, supporting waterways and taking part in volunteering projects.

Working together at both a head office level and a local level reinforces our shared commitment to practical action, community engagement and responsible water stewardship.

“We're proud to be partnering with Dyno-Rod, and for them to be working with us to protect our 2,000-mile network of waterways. We are a national charity protecting local canals which mean so much to the people who live near and spend time by them. We are excited to see how our partnership will grow and develop, and look forward to working with Dyno-Rod local franchisees and national colleagues to make a huge difference to our work.” – Will Brookes, Senior Partnerships Manager (Corporate)

Building on our wider partnerships

This partnership also builds on Dyno Rod’s wider commitment to giving back. It builds on our existing partnerships with Jordan Wylie MBE, ACCT UK and the Army Cadets. Together, these relationships open the door to meaningful volunteering opportunities for colleagues and franchisees, allowing them to give back while supporting environmental and community initiatives across the UK.

Looking ahead

Launching this partnership at our annual conference was just the beginning. As we move forward, we’re excited to see our franchise network get involved locally, strengthen community connections and support the vital work of the Canal & River Trust.

By working together – nationally and locally – we’re proud to be playing our part in protecting the waterways we all rely on.
