We began as just a two-person enterprise, with Hazel answering the phones and Peter out doing the work. Despite humble beginnings - the first week's turnover was only 11! - the company began to grow. We now employ 40 staff and offer a full range of services, from handling blocked drains in Norwich, drain lining in Ipswich to root cutting in Great Yarmouth. As a leading drains company in East Anglia, we strongly believe in continued investment in training, health and safety and using the latest equipment and techniques. Our workforce is highly trained and motivated, in fact, their enthusiasm for the job is such that they often can't wait to tell us about the jobs they've completed. We've been supplying services to the Royal Household since 1976. In 2007 we were very proud to be awarded a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty the Queen. We are the only drainage company that is 'By Royal Appointment'! Our engineers have even met the Queen at Sandringham. We'd been called out to help with a problem and as we were working on the job, a lady drove up in a Land Rover and took an interest. It was only when she left that we realised who it was! Since we started the company almost 45 years ago, we've been actively involved in the local community. We're very proud of the reputation we've built up via our business, and we also take our community responsibilities seriously. We're currently the proud sponsors of Norwich United Football Club and Brooke Cricket Club, and work with the East Anglian Children's Hospice (EACH), who do fantastic work. We also helped to buy projection equipment for the Poringland Community Cinema, an exciting village project which screens films and is run by volunteers.
