When you have a blockage that’s difficult to spot,
Call us and we’ll take a look with CCTV

What is CCTV inspection?

When the cause of a drainage problem at your home isn’t immediately obvious we can insert a CCTV camera into your pipes to track it down. Not only does this allow our engineers to see exactly what the problem is, but we can then give you a very accurate estimate of what it will cost to carry out any repairs. CCTV is also useful in identifying issues in a drainage system before they become more serious, and in a home you may be thinking of purchasing. All of this can be recorded on DVD for you very easily. It can even help to find lost puppies.

Why you can trust us to find the cause of any drama:

  • Ready to help 24 hours, 365 days a year
  • Fixed price, no hidden costs, no call out fees
  • Here since 1963 - all work guaranteed
  • Local to you, wherever you live
  • Respectful of your time and your home

What CCTV can reveal

Fractured pipes - Pressure from above, such as a heavy vehicle driving over the ground, can cause cracks and fractures in your drainage pipes. Untreated, these will leak contents into the soil, which could result in further damage to the pipe or even subsidence.

Collapsed drains - Can be caused by the drains being badly built in the first place or a variety of other reasons. If left, not only are blockages likely, but subsidence and environmental damage are possible.

Tree roots - Roots seek out moisture so they can find their way through existing faults into the drains. Once the tree roots have entered the drain, other material will get caught in them, making blockages far more likely and frequent.

Reducing bills

When the cause of your drainage emergency isn’t immediately visible, a CCTV camera will often help pinpoint the exact problem and get the job done much more quickly and efficiently. We’ll be able to see exactly what’s causing the blockage, enabling us to select the best tool for the job, get the work done faster and reduce the cost.

Not just for an emergency

CCTV isn’t just useful for finding the source of a current drainage problem, it can help avoid future problems. A CCTV survey can spot issues long before they develop into something more serious. Over the years, normal wear and tear can see your drains suffering damage both from usage and from subsidence, tree roots or just poor construction. The earlier these are spotted the sooner they can be repaired.

Before you buy a new home

If you discover a problem with your new home’s drains after you’ve bought it, it could prove very expensive. That’s why we offer property pre-purchase surveys, so that you can thoroughly check the condition of the drains in your potential new home with a CCTV camera before you take the big decision to buy it.

Local round-the-clock service

With a large number of vehicles available, you can be certain one of our engineers will be with you within four hours of your call. And that’s true 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.

Know exactly what you’re paying

There are no call out charges. We’ll come along, assess your job and give you a free quote. Your quote is fixed, with no hidden charges, and will be what you pay when you ask us to do the job.

Professional and trustworthy

All of our work is guaranteed and carried out by our fully trained engineers. So you can feel safe in the knowledge that they won’t just do the job well, they’ll treat you and your home with respect too.

CCTV inspection step-by-step

We can carry out a thorough CCTV inspection with no fuss at all. It’s done in three steps

Step 1 - Getting into the drain

We’ll find an access point, from where the CCTV camera will be pushed along the pipe. In larger pipes the camera might be mounted on a wheeled crawler unit.

Step 2 - Taking a look

Our engineer will see images from the camera as it moves along the pipe on a monitor screen. They will then log anything they see - blockages or structural defects - and their location in the pipe.

Step 3- Compiling our detailed reports

We give you a report of what we’ve found, listing problems and their location or give you a clean bill of health. This may come complete with photos and video footage if necessary, and a plan showing the location of the drain.
