All main entrance doors (front and back) should be fitted with locks meeting British Standard 3621. Our advice is that mortise and sashlocks offer the best protection against forced entry attacks, including those using a lockpick, drill or hacksaw. Burglars find locks with spring catches easier to open and these should be replaced.

For any glass in your doors or windows near doors, consider installing grilles for the door and bars for the windows. Bars and grilles help prevent thieves breaking the glass and trying to take advantage of the opening. You can rely on us to fit them to the highest professional standards.

We can fit key-operated locks to your windows, and we’ll recommend the type that we think is must suitable for your windows, whether the frames are made from wood, aluminium, UPVC or metal. Think also about fixing window bars, which act as another barrier to criminals thinking of breaking and entering.

Good quality locks may not work as well as you’d like if they are fitted to weak side doors, which may be vulnerable to a physical attack by determined thieves. We can fit surface-mounted or key-operated mortise security bolts to give your side doors extra protection.
