Pulling the plug on poor sanitation

Dyno-Rod Plumbing & Drains are delighted to be co-sponsors, along with Buster, of the 2010 National Plughole Week.

National Plughole Week was founded in 2007 to raise awareness of poor sanitation in developing countries. The campaign is driven by Buster, the caring plughole brand, which is working with Oxfam to raise money to help the 1.1 billion people worldwide who do not have access to clean, safe water.

Together we are hoping to raise at least £40,000 with all proceeds going to Oxfam's water and sanitation work - such as providing filtration buckets, digging boreholes to installing water pumps, thereby providing people living in these countries with long term access to safe, clean drinking water.

Why should I care?
  • More than 5,000 children die each day in developing countries becuase they don't have access to clean, safe water to drink.
  • A further 1.1 billion people living in developing countries are forced to use unsafe water because they just don't have access to clean, safe water that we all take for granted.

Help make a difference
